Four apps, one API

Anahê Canavezzi is a writer and a designer. She needed three public sites (the book, the studio and the blog) and a dashboard to manage all of it without depending on me. I built the four Next.js apps in a Turborepo and pnpm monorepo, served by a single NestJS API and a single database.

Architecture decision

I considered micro-frontends and dropped the idea: there are no multiple teams and no runtime composition. These are four sites sharing a design system, types and schemas, which is exactly what Turborepo is for.

PostgreSQL · Redis · R2Railway · Cloudflare

One dashboard and one API manage the content of all three public sites.

— The story

How I built each part

Chapter 01Home

A scroll-driven hero

The studio's tone is light and playful. The hero is driven by scroll: the title words fly off, the portrait rises spinning, a mustard flower covers the screen and the stickers land on it, each with its own mouse parallax.

Chapter 02Cases · Case

Cards that come alive

On hover, the card lifts 10px and rotates −1.2° while a sticker pops from scale(0). Each case opens on its own page, telling the project in steps, with image blocks and quotes.

  • Custom easings: --ease-spring and --ease-pop
  • Cases and categories come from the dashboard

Chapter 03Services · About

Services without a price list

Services, steps, values and FAQ, all editable. By Anahê's choice, no published prices: the conversation starts with a quote request.

  • Sortable lists in the dashboard
  • Stats and clients managed in the dashboard

Chapter 04Quote · Brief

From quote to brief

The quote request has three steps: services, project and contact. Once the job is on, Anahê creates a single-use brief link in the dashboard, tied to the first device that opens it, and the answers save themselves while the client fills them in.
